Childhood Trauma

Are you looking for a space to process what happened to you as a child/young person?

Childhood Trauma

When we experience trauma early on in our lives, it can have a significant impact on how we view and relate to the world, how we process and experience emotions, our relationships and outlook on the future. It can feel difficult to pin-point sometimes what happened as childhood trauma is rarely a one-off event, but instead a series of repeated experiences of harm, isolation and hopelessness.

The lasting impact of childhood trauma in adulthood usually represent the decisions and adaptations we made to help survive the trauma and were essential, although these ways of coping are often incompatible with adult life or the life you might want to lead now.

Working with trauma of this nature is my primary specialism and is often the root cause of a lot of the other areas I work in with clients. If you are wanting to understand more about and move forward from what might have happened in your earliest years, therapy can be an extremely helpful way to go.
